How to contribute
dQMGrid is written by people who integrate with EHRs for a living. If you have learned something the hard way, it belongs here. You do not need to write code to contribute.
1. Submit a recipe through the form (easiest)
Section titled “1. Submit a recipe through the form (easiest)”Open the Submit a recipe form on GitHub and fill in the fields. You need a free GitHub account, but no git knowledge. A maintainer turns your submission into a page, credits you and your organisation, and links you to the result.
2. Fix a page in your browser
Section titled “2. Fix a page in your browser”Every page has an Edit page link at the bottom. It opens the page in GitHub’s web editor; when you save, GitHub creates a pull request for review. Use this for corrections, a new gotcha, or updating the “last verified” date after you have re-checked a recipe.
3. Open a pull request
Section titled “3. Open a pull request”If you are comfortable with git, copy the recipe template into
docs/src/content/docs/recipes/, fill it in, and open a pull request. Run npm run check in
docs/ first — it runs the same metadata and PHI checks as the pull request.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- Automated checks run: the site builds, links resolve, recipe metadata is complete, and nothing looks like PHI or a credential.
- A maintainer for that EHR reviews the content.
- Once approved and merged, the page is live on dqmgrid.org within a few minutes.
Before you submit
Section titled “Before you submit”Read the content rules. The short version: no patient data, no credentials, no customer names, and no copying vendor documentation.
